Self Funded Release

Artists we work with choose this option when they can cover all necessary costs out of pocket but want to consult with a producer or mastering technician for feedback, need to book time in a recording studio, or want to partner with a team to assist in distribution.

Label Funded Release

We offer to cover the initial costs of select projects when we recognize potential that aligns with our brand. This can include production assistance, studio time, mixing, mastering, artwork, and distribution. As royalties are paid out, SoPrime Records will first recover our initial investment and then pass along a significant portion of remaining proceeds to the artist(s).

Our Mission: Free the artists

The music recording industry has been undergoing a transformation for the last few decades with the evolution of digital downloads and streaming services. Years ago it was nearly impossible to share a track on a mainstream platform. Today the networks are so congested with other artists that it is still difficult to build a following. Throughout this evolution the traditional record labels continue to offer deals that sound appealing but may end up handcuffing the artist in the long run. We have a different approach, we want to partner with fellow musicians by matching our resources to their artistic talent in a way that helps inspire the creative process and is fair to everyone involved.
